His Highness Who Pleased the Gods
Welcome to d-i-a-n-x-i-a, a roleplay blog for Xie Lian of Tian Guan Ci Fu, or Heaven Official’s Blessing by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. We look forward to writing with you, but there are a few rules and things we would like you to know before we begin!
1. Less a rule than a notice: this account is a side blog. I will follow back from my main account, asunas-embers.
2. I absolutely will not write with anyone under the age of 18. Please respect this rule - content on this blog can and likely will have adult themes, which I do not wish to share or participate in with minors. Anyone under 18 will be blocked upon following. NSFW threads are limited to writers 21+.
3. I usually write in semi-para to longer para replies, but there are no expectations for you to match length. I can adapt to the preferred writing style of my partner. My only request is to refrain from using text talk (lol, ttyl, other abbreviations) in threads unless the characters are texting.
4. Xie Lian is my character. Unless a plot in which your character takes control of Lian has been discussed, do not godmod.
5. Homophobia, transphobia, aphobia, racism, ableism, and other forms of hate will not be tolerated on this blog. This sort of content will be pointed out and discussed out of character, but if there seems to be a pattern with no correction, you will be blocked.
6. This blog will potentially contain triggering content. My content warning tags will appear as _____ tw. If you need something tagged that I have not already tagged, please let me know and I will do it gladly.
7. Treat others as you would wish to be treated. If there is a problem with something I have posted/written, talk to me directly about it. We should all be adults here - let’s act like it. Communication is key in cultivating a safe and healthy roleplay environment.
8. I am very open to plotting, but memes are open to all and unsolicited starters and messages are alright as well.
9. Shipping is completely fine here as well, but will be highly selective for this muse. Chemistry is incredibly important here. Same can be applied to nsfw/smut threads. The content is welcomed, but our characters must have good chemistry. I will not force it.
10. While I do rewatch the show on a near weekly basis, I have not had the time to read the novel/comics yet. This is a work in progress, but as I have a job as well as other responsibilities and another muse, my time is limited. Please be patient with my gaps in understanding, and try to keep from spoiling things if you can!
11. HAVE FUN!! Roleplay is a hobby, not a job. Do not force yourself to write replies if you don’t have the energy or the muse. We all have lives outside of roleplay - I do not expect immediate replies from you. A reply that was enjoyable to write but took a few days is always better than a forced one that came quickly.

Backstory:
Xie Lian was born to the King and Queen of Xianle, which was a blossoming kingdom full of wealth and prosperity at the time of his birth. While the young prince cared little for political and economic affairs, he had a good heart and a firm belief in his ability to help the common class. Xie Lian began studying cultivation at an early age.
One of the most notable events of Xie Lian’s youth was his performance in a celebration of the heavens in which he stopped mid performance to save a falling child - which would affect every life he lived from there on out.
Unfortunately, the peacefulness of Xianle did not last, the kingdom falling to plague and fire - Prince Xie Lian lost all face in the eyes of his people. Due to the fall of his kingdom, the Heavens punished the prince with banishment and the loss of his cultivation as well as a cursed mark which he still bears to this day.
Time and again, Xie Lian is faced with the chance for redemption and the despair of banishment, war and death following him wherever he goes. Despite this, the god remains peaceful, calm and kind - a gentle presence in a world fraught with monsters, ghosts, and corruption. Living on scraps and just what he needs to get by, Xie Lian works to protect the common people and earn merit in the Heavens.
